We also provide LASIK and Cataract Surgery Consultation, Diabetic Eye Exam, Glaucoma Management, Dry Eye Treatment, and Emergency Eye care.

Comprehensive Eye Exams

Luu Eye Care provides comprehensive eye and contact lens examinations for the entire family. We recommend having an eye examination once a year to maintain the optimum health of your eyes. During a complete eye exam, the doctors recommend a dilated fundus exam for all patients to thoroughly examine the important structures inside the eye. Special drops are applied to the eyes to enlarge the pupil temporarily so the doctor can check for diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and other eye diseases. You will be dilated yearly if you have diabetes, take certain medications, have experienced recent trauma or decrease in vision, or if you have other risk factors. Patients who are young and healthy may be dilated every other year. Dilated Fundus Exam. If this is your first time having the eyes dilated, you may want to bring someone with you to drive you home. However, most patients can usually drive by themselves afterwards. You may experience some blurriness at distance, but mostly at near, for approximately four hours. Please bring your sunglasses as the light will be bright outside, but we always provide temporary sunglasses if you do not have any.

Contact Lens Fitting

Our doctors have the expertise and state-of-the-art technology to custom fit contact lenses to provide our patients with the best comfort and vision. Luu Eye Care Optometry offers a wide selection of soft contact lenses, toric contact lenses for astigmatism, color contact lenses, multifocal contact lenses, and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Luu Eye Care has contact lenses from the best brands possible including Acuvue, Bausch and Lomb, Ciba Vision, CooperVision, Boston, FluoroPerm and many others. Some medical eye conditions that prevent patients from achieving good vision can benefit from very specialized scleral contact lenses. These eye conditions include keratoconus(a corneal degeneration that causes a gradual bulging of the cornea into the shape of a cone), post surgical corneal grafts, irregular astigmatism, and other corneal changes. Our eye doctors use a combination of corneal mapping with the Atlas Corneal Topographer along with the latest lens designs and materials to skillfully fit these patients to achieve their optimum vision.

Myopia Control

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is becoming increasingly common. Myopia usually develops in childhood and then gets progressively worse as we get older. While there is no cure for myopia, there are treatments available to help improve your vision and slow its progression. MiSight1 Day is a daily wear, single use contact lens that has been FDA-approved to slow the progression of myopia.
