At Live Oak Counseling Center, our mission is to provide professional and affordable mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families struggling with life's challenges. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health services, regardless of their background or financial situation. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can share their stories, work through their struggles, and achieve emotional well-being.

Our Story

For over 30 years, Live Oak Counseling Center has been serving the community, providing professional counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Our history began as the Columbia Pastoral Counseling Center in 1991, with a focus on providing affordable and accessible counseling services to the community. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, but our core values remain the same: to provide compassionate and non-judgmental support to those in need.

Our Services

• Nancy Holderman Smith, MSW, LISW-CP: Director and Counselor, specializing in anxiety, depression, grief, family issues, and parenting issues.
• Eric Hartley, MSW, LISW-CP/AP: Licensed Independent Social Worker for Advanced and Clinical Practice, with a focus on trauma, depression, anxiety, and daily living issues.
• Linda Olson, MSW, LISW-CP: Experienced therapist with 30 years of practice, addressing anxiety, depression, relationships, addictions, and life transitions.
• Sarah S. Smith, LPC, MEd., EdS.: Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in play therapy for children, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and life skill coaching for children and adolescents.
