Meet Our Veterinarians

At Gulfgate Animal Hospital, our dedicated team of veterinarians is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for your furry family members.

Dr. Kathy Palmer is a long-standing member of the Houston veterinary community, proudly serving the area for over 15 years. Dr. Palmer earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University and is committed to keeping up-to-date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Outside of her work at Gulfgate Animal Hospital, Dr. Palmer enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, as well as her dog and cat. When she's not working, Dr. Palmer loves to explore her creativity through baking, crafting delicious desserts, and contributing her musical talents at her church.

Dr. Kristina Maxey is a passionate veterinarian who is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Houston after completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A&M University. Dr. Maxey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, and she is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for all our patients. Dr. Maxey shares her home with a lively family of four pets - Quincie and Indigo, her chiweenie and blue Lacy, Penny her mini dachshund, and her two feline companions, Syke and Mousey. In her free time, Dr. Maxey enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and cycling, and indulging in the worlds of literature and yoga.

Dr. Meagan Rennie is a graduate of Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Richmond, Texas, Dr. Rennie is eager to serve the Houston community. Dr. Rennie is dedicated to approaching each patient with a gentle touch and compassionate care, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
