Our office is conveniently located at Matlock & Cannon in Mansfield, and we offer a variety of treatment options for all ages, including clear braces and Invisalign. Our team is led by Dr. Aaron Swapp, a board-certified orthodontist with a passion for achieving amazing results.

Dr. Swapp graduated from UNLV Dental School, where he finished summa cum laude, and was given the Dean's Award for Top Academic Honors. He continued his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry, and earned a masters degree in oral biology and orthodontics. He was awarded the Baylor Orthodontic Oscar for the best treated orthodontic case in his class. Following his training, Dr. Swapp was asked to join the teaching faculty at Baylor, where he has published multiple orthodontic research articles. He received the Watson Award, which is given to the highest-rated research article of the year in the most prestigious orthodontic journal.

Dr. Swapp is also board certified. A distinction that has only been achieved by 33% of orthodontists. He is passionate about orthodontics and dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care. He is always happy to take the time to answer your questions and explain your treatment options in detail.

Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Swapp enjoys spending time with family, restoring old cars, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. He and his family are active in their church and community, and are avid supporters of the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Swapp has served as a Boy Scout leader for several years, and is an Eagle Scout himself.

• Invisalign: Invisalign is a popular choice for those who want a more discreet orthodontic treatment. It uses clear aligners that are custom-made to fit your teeth, and can be removed for eating and cleaning.

• Mouthguards: If you play sports, we recommend wearing a mouthguard to protect your teeth and mouth from injury. We can create custom mouthguards that fit your teeth perfectly.

• Retainers: After your orthodontic treatment is complete, we recommend wearing a retainer to keep your teeth in their new position. We offer several types of retainers, including clear retainers and fixed retainers.

When to Start Treatment?

We are often asked when is the best time to start orthodontic treatment. Having teeth is one requirement for braces, but the ideal time is different for everyone. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7. This is because early detection of any orthodontic issues can lead to simpler and more effective treatment. However, it's never too late to start orthodontic treatment. Adults can also benefit from orthodontic treatment to improve their smile and overall oral health.
