Our Story

Shier Building & Renovations was founded in 2015 by Andrew "Andy" Shier, who has a passion for construction that started at a young age. Andy's journey in construction began when he would help local farmers with various tasks, including construction projects. This early exposure sparked a fire in him to pursue a career in construction. As he grew older, Andy's interest in construction only intensified, and he eventually attended college, where he earned a degree in Construction Management. After completing his education, Andy worked for a construction company, honing his skills and gaining the knowledge necessary to start his own business. In 2013, Andy was deployed to Afghanistan, where he had time to reflect on his future and decided to take the leap and start his own construction company. After his return, Andy spent a year refining his skills and then took the bold step of quitting his job to start Shier Building & Renovations, Inc.
