We are proud to offer a family medicine practice that harks back to the traditional doctor-patient relationship. Back in the day, families had one doctor that they saw for all their basic needs. We are embracing those roots with our Direct Care approach. We provide medical care directly to you and your family for a reasonable monthly membership fee, without requiring insurance for that care. This setup allows for easy physician access, relaxed visits, and a smaller practice size, resulting in a more personalized experience. With greater continuity of care, we can make better-informed healthcare decisions and spend more time on preventative care. There are no copays or deductibles, and no extra charge for primary care services, tests, and medications that are routinely provided by our doctor in our office. Your insurance continues to function as usual outside of our office.

About Dr. Rhonda Carlson

Dr. Rhonda Carlson, born and raised in northern California, graduated magna cum laude from Chico State with degrees in chemistry and psychology. After graduating with High Honors from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, she completed her training to become a rural family physician at U.C. Davis-Merced Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Carlson chose to be a family physician because she enjoyed every specialty rotation in medical school. She has an independent streak, an unfiltered sense of humor, and enjoys connecting with each patient as a unique individual, providing high-quality, personalized health care in a friendly, caring environment.

Jon and Dr. Carlson have enjoyed over 30 years of 'wedded bliss' and raised three great kids. Her job is "doctor, " and his job is "pretty much everything else."

We understand the importance of building a strong, trusting relationship between a patient and their physician. At our practice, we value the time we spend with our patients, ensuring we meet their individual needs and provide them with the best possible care.

Our Services

As a Direct Primary Care office, we offer a wide range of medical services without the involvement of insurance companies. Our services include:

• Preventative care, such as annual physicals and wellness exams
• Sick visits and chronic disease management
• Basic procedures, including skin biopsies and joint injections
• Women's health services, including pap smears and breast exams
• Men's health services, including prostate exams and testosterone therapy
• Mental health services, including counseling and medication management
• Pediatric care, including well-child visits and sick visits
• Coordination of care with specialists and hospitals when necessary
