Hey, we're BFA - champions of simplicity, based in Boulder since 1985. Our furniture is built from unmatched American hardwood and designed for lifelong joy. Nestled beside the purple mountain majesty, we face a formidable task: turn homes into spaces that reconcile with a perfect natural world. The art of furniture is a drive for excellence in quality of craft and longevity of design. We love people through simple furniture, designing objects that compel and comfort a natural existence.

We strive to create lasting art, objects, and structures that reflect our clients' unique perspectives of the world. With nearly 40 years of built work behind us, we bring you powerfully honest furniture through meticulous technique and modern, friendly design. Our team of locals and transplants with a passion for integrity and nature work together to create furniture that is built to last.
Our Services
Our furniture collection includes bedroom beds, dressers, and nightstands; dining tables, chairs, benches, and stools; seating chairs, stools, benches, and rockers; living room coffee and occasional tables, bookcases, and media storage; office desks, desk chairs, and storage; and commercial to the trade custom special projects. We also offer custom furniture design and build services, where we take the "complicated" out of custom with a time-tested process that produces remarkable results. Our design and commercial services include working with discerning designers, architects, and commercial clients for large-scale projects and original designs.
Our Process
We partner with our clients to bring their design vision to life, from concept to testing to execution. Our team of experts, led by our co-owners and directors, Hannah Rogal and Lee Nemerowicz, work together to ensure that every piece of furniture is built to last and meets our high standards of quality and design. We use only the finest materials, including American hardwood, and offer a range of finish options to suit every taste.
