Blackstone Family Dentistry has been serving the Blackstone community for over 40 years. The practice was originally founded by Dr. Mark Reitz in 1978. When Dr. Reitz retired in 2018, the practice was purchased by Dr. Staples, who had been serving as the Director of Dental Services for a community health center in Virginia. Dr. Staples retained all of the staff members in the practice and began a modernization process to provide even better service to new and existing patients. This process includes electronic patient records, online bill payment options, easy appointment scheduling, and a new referral program. Our goal is to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience for every patient, which is why our welcoming and compassionate staff will do everything they can to make you feel right at home.

Meet Dr. Kristina Staples

Dr. Kristina Staples, a native of Southside Virginia, spent seven years as Director of Dental Services for a Community Health Center Organization in Virginia, supervising 11 dental offices and their staffs. In 2018, she returned to her home of Blackstone to take over the practice of a retiring dentist and rebrand it as Blackstone Family Dentistry. Dr. Staples is passionate about providing exceptional dental care and is dedicated to ensuring that every patient feels comfortable and well cared for.
