Welcome to Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc., a civil engineering firm based in Marianna, Florida. With offices located just off of I-10, we deliver quality engineering services to clients from Escambia County to Jefferson County and in parts of south Georgia. Our principle services include civil engineering, roadway design, site design, subdivision design, environmental permitting, construction engineering inspection, and land use planning.

Company Profile

Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc. was formed in May of 2005 when owners Joseph Alday, PE and Travis Howell, PE opened offices in Tallahassee and Marianna. Over the past fourteen plus years, we have grown to 21 employees with offices in Marianna and Crestview, where we service clients throughout the Florida panhandle and southwest Georgia.

Our current and past clients include the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC), Department of Military Affairs, Town of Greenwood, City of Bonifay, Jackson County Board of County Commissioners, Jackson County School Board, Town of Sneads, Bay County Board of County Commissioners, City of Tallahassee, and many in the private sector.

Our Team

Our team consists of experienced professionals who have been working together for over 20 years. Joseph Alday, PE, and Travis Howell, PE, both have 22 years of design and construction experience on projects throughout northwest Florida. They began their careers working for a local engineering firm with offices in Tallahassee and Chipley, Florida, and have worked together ever since.

Joseph brings to the team a wealth of knowledge regarding site and subdivision design and permitting, including water and sewer utilities. He has designed roadways, water systems, public water wells, and sewer systems, including lift stations to serve new developments.

Travis has over 30 FDOT roadway design projects under his belt, ranging from rural resurfacing to urban new construction. His experience and expertise in FDOT design projects have been invaluable to our clients and our company.

Jordan Burnett has been promoted to shareholder, bringing his FDOT roadway design and project management experience to solidify our management team for years to come. With his addition, we are confident that our team will continue to provide exceptional service to our clients.

• Marianna K-8 School: Located in Marianna, Florida, this project was completed for the Jackson County School Board with a budget of $52,000,000.

• Gateway Welcome Sign/Photo Op Sign: This project was completed for the Florida Department of Transportation with a budget of $2,000,000.

• SR 73 Resurfacing CEI: This project involved resurfacing work from the Calhoun County Line to South Street in Marianna, Florida, with a budget of $6,930,000.

• Salem Church Road CEI: This project involved construction engineering inspection from Sand Hill Church Road to Howell Road in Jackson County, Florida, with a budget of $1,830,000.
