We have been creating beautiful smiles in Greenwood since 1966. Our philosophy is simple. Provide the best orthodontic treatment possible, in a friendly caring atmosphere, at an affordable cost. We are not a corporate clinic style practice. We have a small dedicated staff with an average work experience of over twenty years in our office. McCallum Orthodontics was started in 1966 by Dr. Ed McCallum and Dr. Ernest joined the practice in 1995. Dr. McCallum sees every patient, every appointment, and is always available to update parents on treatment progress. We pride ourselves by giving back to the community that has supported us for over 50 years, by assisting local sports, charities, schools, and other community events. We offer a full range of Orthodontic therapy including traditional braces, ceramic braces, and Clear Aligners. We utilize digital radiography, intraoral scanning, and 3D printing for the most up to date treatment options. Every patient has access to our emergency contact numbers in case there is ever an after hours problem. We want your orthodontic experience to be as pleasant as possible. About Our Doctor

Dr. Ernest J. McCallum was born and raised in Greenwood, SC. He attended Lander University and was accepted to the University of Maryland Dental School in 1988. He graduated with honors in removable prosthetics, a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthetic Honor Society, and Who's Who among American Colleges and Universities. After dental school Dr. Ernest moved to Pittsburgh and completed a one-year General Practice residency. Then on to New York City, to complete his Orthodontic training at Columbia University. Dr. Ernest volunteers his services with the United Ministries free medical/dental clinic, and Connie Maxwell Children's Home. He met his wife, Kathryn, a Speech and Language Pathologist, in New York and in 1995, they married and moved back to Greenwood. They have three children, a boy and two girls. Outside of the office, Dr. Ernest enjoys mountain bike riding, water skiing, and antique car restoration. Unlike most Orthodontists, he is not an avid golfer!
