Angelo Marini, born in the charming Italian town of Busto Arsizio, carried his love for Italian cuisine with him to the United States when he was just three years old. The Marini family made their home in Stamford, Connecticut, but their journey took them across the globe, from Texas to Belgium and Holland. Angelo's linguistic talents flourished, making him fluent in English, Italian, Dutch, and Spanish. These experiences enriched his understanding of diverse cultures and flavors, which later influenced Sal e Pepe's evolving culinary direction.

In 2005, the Marini family opened the doors to Sal e Pepe in Newtown, Connecticut. The restaurant's homemade pasta quickly gained local acclaim, establishing its reputation for authentic Italian flavors.
