While discussing over lunch one day, best friends John Allison and Douglas Galloway decided to fill the need for a modern design showroom in Austin. Both native Texans had recently returned home after successful creative careers owning an interior design business in Atlanta (Allison) and working as an artist in New Orleans (Galloway). With a common love for modern design, the pair opened NEST Modern in 2004.
