Our Mission

Our mission is to provide evidence-based, client-centered, and culturally sensitive care that prioritizes collaboration, ethical considerations, and the pursuit of positive outcomes. We strive to make meaningful differences in the lives of our clients and their families by improving communication, participation in meaningful activities, and building confidence.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our speech therapy services focus on improving communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, language development, and social skills. Our occupational therapy services help individuals develop the skills they need for daily living, such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and sensory integration. Our early intervention services provide support and guidance to families with children from birth to three years old, helping to promote healthy development and address any developmental delays.

We also offer Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services, which provide individuals with complex communication needs with the tools and strategies they need to communicate effectively. Our team is trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), a proven model that guides decision-making for safe and respectful responses to challenging situations.

Our Team

Our team is led by Natalia M. Lopez, M.S., CCC-SLP, a Russian-English bilingual speech-language pathologist with a passion for empowering individuals with complex communication needs. Natalia is the founder and executive director of Empower Speech Therapy & Life Skills Center, and she is dedicated to creating a supportive and positive environment that facilitates communication for all.

Our team also includes Melissa Sampson, M.S., CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist with a wealth of experience in providing exceptional care to individuals of all ages. Melissa is our clinical director and is committed to ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and compassion.
