Our Story
Rural Plumbing and Heating was founded by W.B. and Mildred Nivison in 1947 with a commitment to understanding the needs of their customers. In an era where many homes in rural North Carolina lacked modern conveniences, the Nivisons worked tirelessly to provide heating and plumbing solutions to these underserved communities. Starting from humble beginnings in the basement of their home, Rural Plumbing and Heating grew rapidly, expanding its operations to a warehouse in Raleigh, NC in 1962.
