Rooks Environmentally Conscious Architecture, founded in 1981, is a reputable architectural firm that has been serving the industry with dedication and excellence for over four decades. Our principal, Dean A. Rooks R.A, is a registered architect in the state of Michigan, with a rich experience of over 35 years in the field. Our Mission

Our History

Since its founding, Rooks Architecture has steadily increased its expertise, scope of services, and geographic area served. We provide architectural, interior design, engineering, landscaping, code, ADA compliancy, and sustainable design services. We work with both commercial and residential clients, including municipalities, churches, private residences, recreational facilities, businesses, developers, schools, and industry. Our clientele appreciates our commitment to environmental consciousness, quality design, and excellent service.

Our Education

Our principal, Dean A. Rooks, has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lawrence University (LIT), Detroit, MI, School of Architecture, and has completed liberal arts courses majoring in Art and Architecture from Calvin College, Grand Rapids, MI. Dean's education and experience provide us with a solid foundation for delivering high-quality architectural services.

Our Work

At Rooks Architecture, we balance our work evenly between residential and commercial projects. Our recent and previous work showcases our commitment to producing simple, graceful, affordable, and efficient designs that enhance the natural surroundings. Our most recent work includes the Brimmer Residence, Ravenna Library, and an existing hospital renovation project for a startup campus for education. Our current work involves a value engineering cost-saving approach for the University of West Africa Start-Up Campus Phase 1 and Phase 2.
