Our story began in 1916 when W.T. Vancil founded Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Illinois. Over the years, the funeral home underwent several transformations, including a move to Springfield in 1927 and a name change to Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home in 2007. Today, we're proud to be a family-owned business, operated by the Murphy family, who are deeply rooted in the Springfield community.
