Our Story
Hoffman House has a rich history that dates back to 1946, when seven Hoffman brothers returned from military service and opened the original Hoffman House Restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin. Through the years, the Hoffman family has continued to grow and expand, opening new locations and acquiring existing businesses. Changes and Disappointments
Several reviewers have expressed disappointment with the changes at Hoffman House. Brodie Brogo G. gave the restaurant 1 star, citing the loss of the fine dining atmosphere, the salad bar, and the prime rib on Friday nights. They found the new setup, which includes loud TVs and a shortened bar menu, to be uninviting.
Don King also gave 1 star, sharing a negative experience with a bartender, Skylar, who was clearly intoxicated while working. He mentioned that she was taking shots and serving patrons, and that she eventually closed the bar early despite having customers who were not ready to leave.
