Team Bios

Our team consists of highly skilled professionals with years of experience in the electrical industry. Our President and Director of Operations, Bruce D. Shelly, has been an electrician since graduating from Chestnut Hill Academy and Temple University. He is a member of BISCI, NECA, EAP, GBCA, and the IBEW, and serves on the apprenticeship training committee as a trustee for the IBEW.

Jim Durning, our Vice President and Director of Construction Operations, has been with Shelly Electric Company since 1993. He started as an apprentice and has worked his way up to become a journeyman, foreman, design-build specialist, project manager, and estimator. His experiences have provided him with the necessary background to be the foreman of multiple projects, including IKEA, The Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, and Temple University's new high-rise dormitory, Morgan Hall.

Fredric J. Reid, our Project Manager and Estimator, attended and completed the IBEW training program and has installed tele/data systems in ten states for Prudential Securities. He maintains Shelly Electric's national accounts and is a member of the company's emergency response team.

Matthew J. Lynch, our Project Manager and Estimator, began his career in the electrical industry in 1984 as a third-generation member of IBEW Local 98. He has over 30 years of experience and has managed projects in the industrial, institutional, and educational workplaces.

Gary M. Gold, our Project Manager and Estimator, received his BS in Economics & Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has earned certifications in project management and construction management. He has over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry, including commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
