Steller Salon & Apothecary

The concept of an apothecary, derived from the Latin word "apotheca" meaning storehouse, harks back to the 14th century. At our establishment, we have reimagined this ancient concept to cater to the modern-day clientele's growing preference for natural beauty products. Our apothecary is a carefully curated selection of our favorite brands that align with our philosophy of natural beauty. These brands are often smaller, but we firmly believe they work just as well, if not better, than the big-name brands. We take pride in supporting local businesses, with many New England natives featured in our shop.

At Steller, we believe in the power of natural beauty, and our salon services reflect this belief. Our space is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring eco flooring, low VOC paint, repurposed furniture, and eco heads with water-conserving nozzles. We have even developed our own starstruck shampoo and conditioner, which is part of our in-salon refill program. We are proud to offer Aveda, a green beauty company that leads the way in PCR (post-consumer recycled) packaging, with 80% to 100% PCR in much of its packaging portfolio. Aveda also manufactures with 100% wind power in their primary facility.

The Founders

Steller was founded by Angie and Stephani, two experienced stylists who grew tired of the chemicals they were exposed to in their work environment. They dreamed of an organic hair salon where clients and stylists would not be exposed to toxic chemicals in the name of beauty. A place where beauty products were not only effective but had a wellness benefit as well. After much discussion, they turned their dream into a reality. Steller was born on the philosophy of "Beauty is Natural." Every product and service offered at Steller has been carefully selected with purpose, and each service lives up to their high expectations to truly pamper their clientele.
