About Amy
Hi, I'm Amy! I'm a Seattle-born and raised photographer with a passion for capturing joyful moments. I've been photographing weddings for 20 years and have a degree in commercial photography from the Art Institute of Seattle. I'm on the board of HopeChest, a wedding rummage sale which we hold for charity every Spring. I'm a proud left-hander and MINI owner, and I love strong coffee, smooth whiskey, and Russian River pinot noir. I'm a total animal nerd and was a volunteer at Woodland Park Zoo for over 20 years. I'm terrible with names, but I will remember the oddly hyper-specific knowledge of someone, which isn't useful for much else. I'm an expert gift giver, and I love to travel and meet new clients.
The Friendtography Story
I wasn't the one who originally came up with the title of Friendtographer. It was actually one of my brides who began introducing me as her friend instead of her photographer. I was adopted into her Friendtography Family and have been cherishing the feeling of "wait, are you my photographer or are you my friend who's taking my photos?" ever since. All of my Friendtography clients are more than clients - they are amazing people who I can see myself being friends with for a lifetime.
