Little Sprouts Preschool

At Little Sprouts Preschool, our mission is to build a community of confident learners by providing children with quality, enriched experiences that foster the development of self-confidence, independence, problem-solving, cognitive, and social skills. We strive to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment that meets the individual needs of each student.

Our Philosophy

We believe that education is a meaningful partnership between parents and teachers, and that developing a good rapport with each child and parent based on open communication and mutual respect is essential for a successful school experience. We also believe in empowering children by offering them opportunities to make decisions and solve problems, equipped with the confidence to take on new challenges and develop lasting relationships with teachers and peers.

Our Curriculum

Our educational environment is designed to encourage creativity, interest, and joy of learning through a "hands-on" approach, using a multi-sensory approach in both teacher-directed and child-led lessons. We also focus on developing language and literacy skills through meaningful dialogues between adults and children, listening, and discussing stories, participating in group play, and promoting language-experienced activities.

Our School

Our school comprises four bright and visually stimulating learning rooms that each class uses throughout the day. Integrated learning happens in every room at any given moment, connections, and academic growth are made regardless of which room the children are in. Our rooms are designed to promote learning and exploration, including:

• Language Arts Room: This room encourages the development and stimulation of English language skills, including group discussions, listening skills, awareness of print, rhyming, development of vocabulary, letter recognition, and sound, retelling of stories, and emergent writing skills.
• Math Room: This room incorporates mathematical thinking into block play and dramatic play, using concrete objects and manipulatives for a meaningful purpose, such as number sense, measurement, more than, less than, sorting by attributes, categorizing like objects, patterning, shapes, and spatial sense.
• Science Room: This room promotes discovery and investigation, with a focus on hands-on science experiments, predictions, and observations, hands-on exploration of life sciences, living things in their environment, physical sciences, cause and effect, and position and motion of objects.
• Art-Music Room: This room focuses on promoting challenging and stimulating art experiences, including exploring visual arts through various materials and media, and exploring the sounds made by various rhythm instruments and marching and dancing to various tempos and dynamics.

Safety

The safety of our students is our top priority. We conduct regular fire drills to teach children fire safety, and we have a monthly fire extinguisher inspection. Our school is locked at all times, and our front door has a bell entry system. All staff members have completed a criminal background check and sex offender search. Before leaving the school, parents are required to sign out their children, and all staff members are certified in Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid by the American Safety and Health Institute.

Our Program

We offer a range of programs designed to cater to the unique needs of each child, including our 2-Year-Old, 3-Year-Old, and 4-Year-Old programs. Our programs are designed to encourage independence, creativity, and social interaction, while promoting learning and development through play and structured activities.
