• A Family and Caregiver Guidebook: Our guidebooks provide support for individuals and their caregivers while fostering communication enhancement through personally relevant, entertaining activities. These guidebooks are interactive events that help individuals and their caregivers connect and engage in meaningful ways.
• A Personal History Video Greeting: Our new personal history video greeting is a beautiful way to share lasting memories. This video greeting features your most cherished family photos and memories surrounding birthdays, holidays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, memorial events, or any memorable occasion that you can share with all your family members.
• The Lobby Card Collection: Our lobby card collection is a unique offering that features classic movie memorabilia. These lobby cards are a great way to stimulate memories and conversation.
• Self-improvement Classes in Memory Enhancement and Social Communication: We offer self-improvement classes in memory enhancement and social communication to maximize abilities, promote a sense of well-being and autonomy within a familiar environment. These classes are social gatherings that allow individuals to use all tools available to them (speech, gestures, writing, cognitive skills) to enhance thinking skills and keep communication going.

Our Philosophy

At Meaningful Memory Maker, we believe that enhanced communication, thinking skills, and self-care skills improve quality of life and independence. We take a life participation approach to communication enhancement, which means that our classes are social gatherings that allow individuals to keep communication going and utilize strategies to enhance thinking skills.

About the Founder

Lori K. Yauch, M.A., CCC-SLP, is the author of two books, Movies and Music: A Guide to Turning The Classic Movie Musical Into An Interactive Event, and Movies and Music: A Clinician's Guide to the Classic Movie Musical and Group Activity. She has over 30 years of rehabilitation experience with the aging population and has worked in a variety of settings from schools to hospitals to sub-acute rehab and long-term care centers. Lori is passionate about helping individuals maintain and enhance their skills as they age and believes that communication, engagement, and socialization are key to promoting well-being and independence.
