Our History

Founded by Henry Miltenberger in 1959, Gilsbar has a rich history that spans over five decades. Our story began with a partnership with the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA), which gave us our name, Group Insurance Louisiana State Bar. This partnership marked the beginning of our journey as a national insurance services provider. We are proud to continue serving many of our earliest clients, including our very first customer, the LSBA.
