Summer Cove

Summer Cove is a leading summer camp provider in Northern Virginia, committed to fostering an environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and individuality. Since our inception in 2016, we have been serving children in grades 6 - 9, an age group that we believe is often overlooked in the summer camp landscape. Our programs are designed to challenge students to think outside the box and promote personal growth.

A New Location for 2024

After years of successful partnership with GW Community School, we have decided to move to a new location that better suits our expanding camp community. Starting the summer of 2024, we will be partnering with Oakwood School, located just minutes away from our previous location. Oakwood School offers a modern indoor space, complete with a full-size gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, and dynamic classrooms, as well as an expansive outdoor area. We are thrilled to continue to grow our camp community with our new partners.

Campers

Summer Cove caters to campers going into grades 6 - 9. Our camps are designed to keep campers active and engaged, encouraging them to think critically, problem-solve and socialize. We offer a variety of camps each week that range from high-low energy, covering a wide range of skills and interests.

Dates & Times

Summer Cove camps run from June 24th - August 9th, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Drop off begins at 9:00 AM, and aftercare is available from 3:45 - 5:00 PM for an additional $15/day.

The Story Behind the Dragonfly

The dragonfly on our logo holds a special significance. In 2010, my oldest sister, Katie, was tragically killed in a car accident. After her death, our family planted a tree in her memory, and dragonflies swarmed the tree during the first year. We quickly developed a deep connection with the winged insect, and today, the dragonfly serves as a reminder of Katie's spirit and the importance of living life to the fullest.
