A Family Tradition Since 1937

Welcome to Hull Funeral Service, a third-generation family-owned business serving Danbury, Bethel, and the surrounding Connecticut towns. Since 1937, we have been dedicated to providing complete funeral services for all your needs. Our family tradition is built on a legacy of trust, compassion, and professionalism. Whether you need services for a loved one who has passed away or are planning ahead, we are here to assist you every step of the way.

Our History

Hull Funeral Service traces its beginning back to the late Henry T. Kyle, who graduated from embalming school in 1915. John H. Hull, Sr., a native of Bristol, CT and a 1925 graduate of Cincinnati College of Embalming, joined Mr. Kyle in 1935. In 1937, Mr. Hull bought the building on Division St., Danbury, and Hull Funeral Service began. It was first known as the Kyle-Hull Funeral Home until Mr. Kyle's retirement in 1939. After Mr. Kyle's retirement, Mr. Hull found it necessary to close the Bethel chapel and operate only one location in Danbury. In 1951, Mr. Hull's son Robert J. Hull returned from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science to join his father in business, and a new era of service began.

The Current Owner

Today, under the leadership of President & Owner Jeffrey H. Hull, we continue to serve our community with the same values and dedication as our founders. Our staff is available 24 hours a day for emergencies or death calls and can handle all at-need, pre-arranged, and pre-paid funeral arrangements. We are proud to offer a range of services including calling hours, church or funeral home services, burial, cremation, and shipping to other states. Our goal is to provide comfort and support during a difficult time.
