Our Services

At The Hawthorn Tree, we believe in the power of herbs, teas, and spices to heal and nourish the body, mind, and spirit. That's why we offer a wide selection of over 150 different herbs, teas, and spices, all of which are stocked in our apothecary. Our apothecary is not only a place to purchase high-quality herbs and spices, but it is also a space for consultation with our herbalists. Our herbalists are trained to create custom blends to meet your specific needs, ensuring you receive the maximum benefits from our products.

In addition to our apothecary, we offer a cozy tea room where you can enjoy hand-crafted drinks and baked goods made daily using our own custom blends of herbs, teas, and spices. Our drinks are made using all-natural sweeteners, with no artificial flavors or syrups, making them a healthy and delicious choice. We also offer a Grab and Go lunch menu, available 7 days a week, with many gluten-free and vegan options.

Our building is an historic treasure, built in 1937 on the former site of the famous Cheyenne Club. In the 1930's, it was home to the Little Shop where tea was served on the mezzanine. The building's soaring ceilings and warm wood floors create a welcoming space to unwind, making it a community gathering place.

Meditation and Classes

At The Hawthorn Tree, we believe in the power of meditation to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. That's why we offer a secluded meditation space open for drop-in meditation anytime during business hours. We also provide a space for weekly guided meditation classes, allowing you to deepen your meditation practice.

We offer classes on personal enrichment, herbalism, and how to make your own herbal products. Our classes are taught by local artisans, providing you with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field. Our classes are designed to promote growth, both personally and spiritually, and to connect you with your community.

Our Name and Logo

Our name, The Hawthorn Tree, is inspired by the spiritual traditions that view Hawthorn as a symbol of protection and love. Hawthorn embodies both the joy and sorrows in life, illustrated by its beautiful, white, fragrant blossoms and very sharp thorns. Hawthorn teaches us to keep our heart open during both happy and sad times in our lives.

Our logo is inspired by a 4th century Celtic language called Ogham (OG- uhm). Among the Celtic people, trees were considered sacred. There are 20 different Ogham symbols, each representing a tree or bush. These are created using simple lines carved into wood and other materials. Our logo consists of the Hawthorn or Huath ogham with botanicals hanging off of it. It is our wish that The Hawthorn Tree be a safe space to nurture healing and growth-in body, mind, and spirit.
