Helping your child develop a healthy, happy smile for a lifetime!
Healthy, Happy Smiles is a pediatric dental office dedicated to providing the best possible dental care for infants, children, teens, and kids with special healthcare needs. Our mission is to deliver top-notch dental care while creating a welcoming and comforting environment for our young patients. Dr. June, our Chief Pediatric Dentist, is passionate about preventative dentistry techniques for children aged 0-5 years and offers infant education programs for new parents, daycare providers, and at pre-K and elementary schools.
About Dr. June
Dr. June was born in Mombasa, Kenya, and grew up on a farm near the Shimba Hills National Reserve. She was raised by teachers who instilled the value of education, which led her to pursue her studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in biology, Dr. June earned her DMD at Georgia Regents University and specialized in Pediatric Dentistry. Her residency focused on oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including rotations at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for medically compromised patients.
Our Services
Our kids dental office is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment to ensure your child has access to everything they need during their visits. We offer a range of services, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and special care for children with special healthcare needs. We believe in starting early with prevention and good habits to build a life-long smile and relationship with your pediatric dentist.
Appointments and Policies
We schedule appointments Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with after-school appointments and Saturdays available by appointment. For after-hours emergencies, please call us, and we'll get back to you immediately. We ask that other siblings remain in the waiting area under adult supervision and that cell phones be kept off or in airplane mode during appointments. Pictures and camera phones are welcome, but please be considerate of other patients and ask before taking pictures or filming. No food or drinks are allowed in the office to keep it clean and neat for everyone.
Payment and Insurance
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided, including deductibles and co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards, as well as Care Credit for patients who require dental treatment. Our treatment coordinator will review the recommended treatment and the estimation of your dental insurance reimbursement to ensure a treatment plan that fits your timetable and budget.
Easing Your Child's Fears
We understand that a visit to the dentist can be frightening for some children. Our goal is to avoid and conquer most dental fears by creating a welcoming and comforting environment. Sometimes it's normal for a child to feel apprehensive, but we're here to help make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
