Our Story
Founded by an Interior Designer, Furniture Maker, and Walt Disney Imagineer, our company was born out of frustration with the long wait times, poor communication, and subpar quality of other facilities in Los Angeles. We set out to create a better way to build and restore, with a focus on prompt delivery, competitive pricing, and unparalleled customer satisfaction.
Our Approach
At Form + Function, we take pride in our traditional approach to furniture building and upholstery, incorporating 8-way hand tie and low-impact materials whenever possible. Our skilled artisans work tirelessly to create long-lasting, high-quality pieces that not only exceed our clients' expectations but also leave a minimal carbon footprint. We're committed to using FSC-certified hardwoods, natural materials, and sustainable practices in our workshop, conveniently located in Burbank, Los Angeles.
Giving Back
As part of our commitment to the community, we participate in the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) Chairing Styles program, collaborating with design students to create custom chairs. We also donate a portion of our company proceeds to TreePeople Los Angeles and maintain a mentorship program with local schools for up-and-coming furniture designers. Additionally, we partner with local artists and designers to showcase and promote their talents.
