Our Philosophy

At W. Christian Busk Landscape Architect Inc., we believe that a landscape should be a living work of art. It should engage the senses, delight the imagination, have memorable focal points, and be a unique and lasting beauty. The landscape should complement and enhance the structure it surrounds, reflect the interests and sensibilities of its residents, and consider future growth. We take into account the personality of the client, the style of the home, climactic factors, and the uses to which the property will be put. This allows us to create a landscape of living, lasting beauty and practicality, one that is as individual as you are.

Our Founder

W. Christian Busk, the firm's founder and principal in charge of project design and administration, is a licensed landscape architect (ASLA) with more than 35 years of experience. A native of Florida's Palm Beach area, he attended the University of Florida, where he earned a BS in both landscape architecture and horticulture. His background and education give him a unique expertise in the art and science of landscape design/development and a keen familiarity with what plants grow best in Florida's subtropical climate. Christian's experience in designing tropical outdoor pool spaces is well known throughout Florida and the Caribbean. He has led his company to win numerous awards for landscape design from such groups as the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Florida Nurserymen & Growers Association, the Southeast Builders Conference, and the Collier Building Industry Association. The firm's outstanding work has been featured in publications such as Southern Living, Florida Architecture; Home and Garden; Gulfshore Life; Home and Condo; and Open House.

Our Services

At W. Christian Busk Landscape Architect Inc., we specialize in developing a landscape design to suit the client's needs, enhancing the physical structure and opening the great outdoors to greater use and appreciation. We create plans that develop vistas, focus views, and establish a landscape rich in color and texture. We specialize in creating memory points, relaxing gardens, sculptural swimming pools, inviting gates, entryways, and mood-enhancing lighting. Our sister company, Busk & Associates Landscape Contractors, was established in 1988 to ensure that the design on paper is what goes in the ground. Our Maintenance Division was established to care for the landscape after completion and oversee the continued growth and success of the landscape design.
