Our Owner's Bio

For as long as I can remember, the health and well-being of others have been at the center of who I am and more importantly, who I strive to be. As the Owner and Director of The Living Room Senior Home Care, I believe that excellence and compassion start at the top. After 23 years as a private home health provider, I set a goal of owning an agency that would make a significant difference in people's lives. As a gerontologist, I have gained the head knowledge to support my heart's desire of serving the elderly population. The study of Gerontology provides amazing insight and understanding of the challenges that are specific to aging. As we know, knowledge and understanding without heart and passion can seem mechanical. I was fortunate to grow up with the most amazing Grandmother in the world. At a young age, I would sit and listen to Mawmaw tell stories of her youth, of a time much harder than I will ever live, but a time of community, a time of pulling together, and most importantly a time of service to others. I believe those conversations helped to mold me into the person I am today. Mawmaw would do anything for anyone and taught me that the needs of others and serving them with a heart of true love and compassion was the way to do things. It is my greatest desire that the people I meet always feel love and acceptance from me. I look forward to serving the seniors of this community with not only quality care but the desire to make a difference in their lives.
