OUTPERFORMS THE ALTERNATIVES
GasTran Systems is a leading provider of industrial water treatment systems and equipment, specializing in the design, build, and installation of innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our customers. Our expertise lies in finding solutions that not only satisfy but exceed process improvement goals, resulting in increased line speeds, reduced CO2 consumption, and improved overall efficiency.
Our Primary Market: Beverage Packaging Plants
Our primary market is sanitary systems for the deaeration of process water in beverage packaging plants. We specialize in Ultra Low Dissolved Oxygen (ULDO) technology, which offers numerous benefits to our customers. These benefits include faster payback, higher yields due to increased bottling line speeds with reduced foaming and more accurate carbonation, and a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to older deaeration equipment that does not consume any carbon dioxide.
Outperforming the Alternatives
GasTran Systems' mechanically driven technology outperforms traditional deaerator designs and gas/liquid mass transfer methods such as tray and packed towers, membranes, activated carbon, and chemical treatment. Our technology is also capable of handling solids and viscous fluids, making it a versatile solution for a variety of process challenges.
More Than Just Water
At GasTran Systems, we leverage our knowledge of mass transfer to design and build innovative process solutions around our GasTran Technology. Our capabilities extend far beyond water treatment and deaeration, making us a valuable partner for any company looking to improve their process efficiency and bottom line.
Our History
The development of GasTran Technology began in the mid-1980s with Dr. Nelson Gardner, a Chemical Engineering Professor at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Over the years, Dr. Gardner developed many innovations in the design of rotating packed beds, specifically in the areas of rotor design, speed, mass transfer rates, packing density, materials, and system balance. In 2004, Dr. Gardner teamed with entrepreneur and fellow Chemical Engineering Professor Dr. Rob Harris and current CEO Matthew Brinn to form GasTran Systems in Cleveland, OH. Today, GasTran Systems continues to innovate and deliver process intensification for mass transfer equipment on a wide scale basis.
Our Commitment to Innovation
GasTran Systems is constantly exploring OEM relationships with the end goal of delivering new and innovative solutions to customers in a variety of markets. Our compact design is easily incorporated into skid-mounted systems, and our fittings and materials of construction are readily customizable to many alternate applications.
