Canfel Care Animal Hospital has been serving the Houston community since March 2003, providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care for dogs and cats. Our founder, Dr. David E. Wainwright, established the practice with a vision to offer exceptional medical services while prioritizing the well-being and comfort of our furry patients. Drawing from his upbringing in a farm community, where he developed a deep-seated love for animals, Dr. Wainwright dedicated himself to championing the cause of companion animals. His passion led him to graduate from the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, after which he focused exclusively on small animal medicine.
