Our Story

The Ragsdale Co. was founded in 1977 by Steve Ragsdale, and it has been a family affair ever since. Steve's journey began in 1969 when he was still a student at Lake Forest High School. He contracted his first paying paint job, which led him to develop both his painting skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout his college years, Steve continued to work on painting projects in and around Lake Forest, gaining valuable experience that would later pave the way for him to establish his own high-end firm.

In 2015, Steve's daughter, Grace Ragsdale Janda, took over the business. Along with her husband, Rob, they brought a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to the operation. They have continued to move the company forward with the same values, ethics, and passion that Steve founded the company on.
