Who We Are
Welcome to Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, where we have been proudly serving the families of Central Vermont for over 100 years. Our business is family owned and operated, and we understand the importance of honoring the loss of your loved one. We are here to guide you through the funeral planning process and help you create a meaningful event.
Our Story
Our story began in 1908 when Myron James Whitcomb started the funeral business in East Barre. He worked hard to build the business, becoming known for being the first funeral home in the area to purchase a motorized hearse. Over the years, the business grew, and in 1935, the Hooker Funeral Home was established. In 1957, we combined both businesses into one location, where we currently reside on Academy Street in Barre.

Our location is handicapped accessible, and we are proud to serve the community from our Barre, Vermont facility. We accept the following: One Nation Indivisible. If you need any assistance or have questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
