We develop comprehensive and site-specific subsurface exploration programs to characterize the ground conditions, analyze the subsurface conditions and project requirements, and determine the appropriate foundation design for the site. Our geotechnical engineering services include shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, lateral earth support, ground improvement, slope stability, seismic design, pavement design, and groundwater control.

*Construction Support & Observation: MGA provides construction observation services for various types of geotechnical construction activities. Our presence on-site allows us to assess the contractor's compliance with the project plans and specifications and provide engineering input on a timely basis if subsurface conditions are found to vary from those anticipated prior to the start of construction. Our construction observation services include observation of fill placement, overexcavation of unsuitable soils, compaction testing, foundation subgrade preparation, laboratory testing of fill material, blast monitoring, pile installation, pile load tests, ground improvement, excavation support and system design, QA/QC inspection and materials testing services, and pre-construction condition surveys.

*Subsurface Exploration Programs: We perform subsurface exploration programs to characterize the ground conditions and determine the appropriate foundation design for the site. Our exploration programs include soil testing services, pre-construction condition surveys, and bedrock removal.
