Our Services

Our $1495.00 cremation package is designed to simplify the cremation process, making it more affordable and less complicated than traditional funeral services. With our package, you can count on our expertise to handle all the necessary arrangements, from transportation of the deceased to the cremation facility to the release of the cremated remains.

Our services include:

• Transportation of the deceased from the place of death to our facility
• Professional services by a California Cremation Director and staff
• Obtaining and preparation of all required authorizations, death certificates, and permits
• Initial notification to Social Security
• Care and refrigeration of the deceased (eliminating the need for embalming)
• An alternative cremation container (eliminating the need for a casket)
• Cremation process performed by licensed crematory operators in our licensed facility
• Each cremation is performed individually
• Disposition includes your choice of release of the ashes in a basic container or other container as determined by you or scatter in the San Francisco Bay near the Golden Gate Bridge

What's Included

Our $1495.00 cremation package covers all the necessary services and costs, including:

• Department of Consumer Affairs fee
• Death certificates
• Disposition permit
• Any applicable sales tax
• Shipping or postage

However, there are some additional costs that are not included in our package, such as:

• Coroner fees
• Special needs alternative container (over 250 lbs.)
• Any type of viewing or ceremony

What to Expect

At California Cremation Society, we believe that the cremation process should be simple and hassle-free. That's why we've outlined the steps involved in our cremation process:

1. The surviving family, friends, or authority contacts us at 1-800-816-5777.

2. We promptly pick up and transport the deceased to our nearest facility.

3. The body is cared for in a refrigerated holding facility until the cremation takes place.

4. Our staff prepares the death certificate, disposition permit, and other necessary State and County records.

5. Cremation takes place, individually.

6. Cremated remains are taken to our office in the appropriate urn (usually 7-10 days after death has occurred).

7. Final Disposition is your choice; release the ashes to a designated person or scatter in the San Francisco Bay near the Golden Gate Bridge.
