Our Story

White-Sanders Funeral Home has been a cornerstone of the Fisk community for generations, offering compassionate and reliable service to families in their most difficult times. Founded on integrity and a commitment to personalized care, we have stood alongside countless families in their grief, walking alongside them every step of the way.

Our origins date back to the early years of Fisk, where the Shain family operated the town's funeral home. Over the years, the Shelby family took over, before J.C. "Carl" White purchased the establishment in 1950 and renamed it White's Funeral Home. In 1967, Carl and his wife Onedia built a new facility, which continues to serve as our main location today.

In 1975, Jim Sanders joined the team after graduating from mortuary school. When Carl and Onedia retired in 1976, Jim purchased the funeral home, carrying on the tradition of providing exceptional care in the community. In 1981, we expanded our services with the opening of our Qulin facility.

Our Team

We treat every family with the utmost respect and care, tailoring our services to their individual needs and comforting them every step of the way.

Led by Jim Sanders, our experienced staff includes licensed funeral directors, experienced embalmers, and dedicated administrative staff. Their expertise, combined with their genuine compassion and understanding, make White-Sanders Funeral Home a trusted partner during difficult times.
