Why ProsthoWorks?

Herein lies the reason the corporation was named ProsthoWorks. It is precisely what that implies - it takes Work to make prosthodontic care work for the patient. Nothing comes easy by the time patients are referred to us. We work very hard to deliver the service our patients' needs, now and for a long time to come. There are few short cuts in life, and simple elegant solutions come with a good deal of fore thought and coordination. Just because we make it seem easy sometimes, does not mean results happen by chance or luck. It takes training, patience and a good amount of persistence. Because we need to look at what is good for the patient in the long run, based on sound medical and dental evidence. We rely on basic sciences, the biological and bio-mechanical research to make clinical decisions. Not just because we, or someone, says so. Our patients must understand that, and be willing to invest not just their financial resources, but their time and effort to maintain the work we put in our patient's mouth. That is the other part of Work we refer to, we all work together to maintain the optimal oral health for you, our patient. And it will take time, especially the planning phase. Part of that team include many talented dental laboratory professionals, your referring dentist or other providers, with whom we work very closely with to maximize collaboration and coordination to improve and maintain your oral health. For those who have yet to establish such a dental home, we will provide some options based on your specific needs and preferences.

Our Team

The team members who work at ProsthoWorks, P.C. are trusted and trained professionals, registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Folks we welcome on board to support our patient care have been carefully selected, verified and screened with extensive, third party background checks. They work here because they are prepared for the demanding tasks to provide support in a prosthodontic practice, and must have proven integrity, loyalty, drive and a genuine desire to take care of our patients and each other with professionalism and compassion.

Our Prosthodontist

Dr. Chia-Ming Lee, B.D.S., M.S. graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore in the Republic of Singapore in 1992. He served in the Singapore Armed Forces as an Army Dental officer under various capacities. He has served in the public hospital before returning to private practice, and subsequently leaving for the United States for his Advanced Education in Prosthodontics. He graduated from the University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch with the Certificate of Advance Education (Prosthodontics) and Masters of Science degree in 2002 winning various awards, including the American College of Prosthodontists Research Fellowship, the Heyl G. Tebo Scholarship, and First prizes in many city, state and nation wide competitions. He has taught in the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Restorative Dentistry (Pre-Doctoral Prosthodontics) and currently teaches part-time at the University Of Texas A&M System Baylor College Of Dentistry (Graduate Prosthodontics clinic). Dr. Lee returned to the DFW area to be with his young family and continue the prosthodontic practice of Dr. John T. Goodman in 2008.
