Headquartered in San Jose, California, Ritchie Commercial is the successor to Ritchie & Ritchie Corporation, which was founded in 1956 in San Francisco. Disappointing Experiences with Ritchie Management and Shady Practices
Ritchie Management has drawn criticism from several former clients who have had negative experiences with the company. Lack of Integrity and Shady Business Practices are common themes throughout these reviews.
Contract Cancellations and Misleading Information
A common issue seems to be contract cancellations without apparent reason. VP Jana allegedly canceled a contract with one client, only to continue advertising the same property as available for rent. Another client, C. C., experienced similar treatment, with their contract being terminated while they were already in the process of renting the property. These instances have led to feelings of distrust and betrayal.
Toxic Work Environment and Harassment
The work environment of Ritchie Management has also been called into question. C. C. claims to have been harassed via email and text by the management company, using intimidation tactics such as stating that "employees are being recorded." This behavior has created a hostile work environment and has led to undue stress for employees.
Misleading Representations and False Promises
Ritchie Management has also been accused of making false promises and providing misleading information. Ryan O. was led to believe that an office space was available and went through the process of transitioning, only to have the contract rejected due to his financials. What's puzzling is that he was approved by other offices spaces at a higher price and with more square footage, leading to questions about the company's decision-making process.
