Our practice is led by Madge Bemiss, a seasoned architect with a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master's of Architecture from Columbia University. With over 25 years of experience working on large cultural building projects, Madge has the expertise and knowledge to provide the best solutions for our clients. Her approach to design is centered around creating spaces that are responsive to the needs of people, making her an ideal fit for our focus on public and cultural spaces.

Madge's professional experience spans various roles and projects, from working as a researcher for William H. Whyte to leading teams of architects, engineers, and artists. She has worked on projects such as the American Civil War Museum, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia, among others. Her experience and skills have made her a LEED AP registered architect, further demonstrating her commitment to sustainable design.
