Our team of expert stylists is led by Paul Miller, a native North Carolinian with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Paul has worked in both NC and New York City, where he served as Technical Art Director for Toni & Guy. Paul's passion for creativity and technical skill led him to pursue his dream of opening his own salon, and Funky Monkey was born. As a master stylist, Paul is certified with Brazilian Blowout, Redken, and Schwarzkopf color systems and has been trained in numerous cutting techniques. Paul's expertise, experience, and knowledge enable him to collaborate with clients to create a signature look that is unique to them.

In addition to Paul, our team includes Risa Tatum-Yasuda, Andrea Brame, and Heather Fortune. Risa is a seasoned stylist with a passion for making every client feel and look great. She excels in haircutting for all genders and has a particular love for seasonal hair transformations. Andrea is a master stylist with over 20 years of experience, having traveled and worked in various cities, including DC, MIA, and NC. Her expertise lies in styling, cutting, and coloring for all genders. Heather is a skilled stylist with a BFA in sculpture. She brings her artistic background into the world of hairstyling, specializing in mesmerizing blondes and razor cuts that are both contemporary and timeless.

Prices vary based on the level of service and the amount of time required. Brazilian Blowout

Our salon offers the Brazilian Blowout, a smoothing treatment that eliminates frizz and adds shine and softness to the hair. The treatment is customizable, lasting up to 12 weeks. Prices start at $350+, depending on the length and thickness of the hair. Our stylists are certified in the Brazilian Blowout technique, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible results.
