EVO Pizzeria is a wood-fired dream come true, born from the passion of Matt McIntosh and Ricky Hacker. The duo met while working at FIG in downtown Charleston in 2003 and spent years perfecting their concept. They envisioned a pizzeria that would focus on local ingredients, cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. After years of planning, EVO Pizzeria finally opened its doors in 2007, and it has been a staple in the Park Circle area ever since.

At EVO, we pride ourselves on using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We believe that supporting our community not only enhances the taste of our food but also contributes to the growth and prosperity of our neighborhood. Our suppliers are showcased proudly above our wood-fired oven, and we encourage you to visit them after your meal to continue supporting local.

Meet the owners, Matt and Ricky, who share a deep love for cooking and a commitment to their community. Matt brings his pastry chef background and experience from FIG, while Ricky's culinary expertise and time at FIG have been instrumental in shaping EVO's culinary philosophy.

From our humble beginnings as a mobile wood-fired pizza oven to our current brick and mortar location, EVO Pizzeria has remained dedicated to serving fresh, delicious food and drinks in a welcoming atmosphere. We're proud to source ingredients from local farms and producers, including Kurios Farms, Kindlewood Farms, and Split Creek Farms. This commitment not only ensures the freshness of our ingredients but also supports the local economy. The EVO Craft Bakery

In addition to our pizzeria, we also operate a craft bakery offering a daily assortment of fresh pastries, baguettes, and breads. Our bakery is open Tuesday through Sunday and proudly serves King Bean Coffee Roasters and Foresight Coffee Roasters coffee and espresso. Whether you're in the mood for a warm baguette or a decadent pastry, our bakery has something for everyone.
