RLA offers a full range of architectural services, including pre-planning analysis, planning and environmental review procedures, program analysis and development, schematic design and space planning, design development and product research, interior design, coordination and production, complete construction documents, coordination of civil, geotechnical and surveying consultants, full structural, electrical, and mechanical and landscape architecture services, CAD drafting using AutoCAD, construction specifications, coordination of bidding procedures and building permit processes, construction site observation and contract administration, code compliance investigations for "problem projects, " and computer modeling and rendering.

Our extensive experience spans over twenty years, encompassing a wide array of project types. This includes commercial, retail, restaurant and office projects, as well as single and multi-family residential developments. Some of our notable projects include the Rustic Canyon Golf Course, Light Industrial Bishop Bank & Office Building, Mediterranean Restaurant, and 2223 Sunset Boulevard.

Our Team

Rick Leslie, the founder and principal of RLA, has been practicing architecture since graduating with honors in 1970 from Pratt Institute in New York. He has worked with well-known California architects such as Berry Berkus, Richard C. Martin, and Jan Van Tilburg. In addition to his architectural career, Rick has also gained valuable experience through running a cabinet company, performing construction management, and with residential development. As a part-time resident of Lone Pine, CA, Rick has served on the Lone Pine Design Review Board since 1998, selected by the Inyo County Board of Supervisors as the practicing architect member. He has been a member of the American Institute of Architects since 1985.
