Body Shop by Gene Cochetti is a family-owned and operated auto body repair shop that has been serving the Salinas community since 1977. Our team of I-CAR Certified technicians and Sikkens-trained refinish technicians are dedicated to providing the highest level of communication and customer service, as well as the highest quality repair.
Our Story
Body Shop by Gene Cochetti was founded by Gene Cochetti in 1977, and in 1990, his son Chris returned from college to work alongside him in the family business. In 1994, we expanded our auto body repair department to meet the growing needs of Salinas' community. Today, Chris and Filiberto Cazares, who joined us in 2021, manage the day-to-day operations of our shop. Our goal is to provide our customers with a hassle-free experience, and we achieve this by using the best equipment, quality parts, and a highly trained staff using the latest repair procedures provided by your vehicle's manufacturer.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of auto body repair services, including collision repair, dent removal, body work, frame repair, fender and bumper repair, auto painting, paintless dent removal, auto refinishing, and auto glass replacement. We also provide collision-related mechanical repairs, air conditioning repairs, airbag replacement, and wheel and suspension repairs. Additionally, we offer complete insurance claim processing and billing for all major carriers, as well as pick up and delivery, towing to shop, and rental car arrangements, all at no extra charge. We stand behind our work with a limited lifetime warranty on all repairs for as long as you own your vehicle.
Our Facility
Our 10,000 square feet shop and office is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including two Autorobot unibody frame machines, one Garmat Down Flow Bake Paint Booth, one Lazermate three-dimensional measuring system, one rotary lift system, and a Sikkens waterborne paint mixing system. We are also committed to reducing our environmental impact by recycling all waste products, including paints, solvents, clears, sheet metal, bumpers, cardboard, plastic, and aluminum.
