Green Oaks Creek Farm

Green Oaks Creek Farm is a family-owned organic farm that has been dedicated to providing a beautiful and serene environment for special occasions, particularly weddings. Nestled against the Santa Cruz mountains and bordering Green Oaks Creek, our farm is replete with riparian areas, rolling meadows, coastal live oaks, redwoods, hiking trails, and stunning ocean views. Our goal is to provide a private and peaceful setting for our clients to create unforgettable memories with their loved ones.

The History

The land was originally inhabited seasonally by the Quiroste, a group of Ohlone Native Americans. In the early 1900s, the Steele Family settled the land and began an extensive apple orchard. Over the decades, the Steele family also raised flax for the war, dry beans, beef cattle, and hay, among other crops. The farmhouse and two sheds are the original buildings that stand today. We pay homage to all of the hard work and commitment of our predecessors who helped shape the land into what it is today.

The Farm Today

We are blessed to own a 63-acre parcel of the original Steele Ranch. Our parcel is nestled against the Santa Cruz mountains, borders Green Oaks Creek, and is replete with riparian areas, rolling meadows, coastal live oaks, redwoods, hiking trails, and stunning ocean views. We are dedicated to maintaining the natural beauty of the land and providing a serene environment for our clients.

Our venue includes expansive ocean views from the ceremony and reception areas, making it the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding. We also offer a wooded campground with ocean views and three furnished cabins with kitchenettes, allowing you and your guests to settle in for the weekend. For those who need assistance with planning, we offer a professional wedding planner from Weddings By Aim e e, a team that is intimately familiar with Green Oaks. Additionally, we offer a Premier Wedding Package with some of the top vendors in the industry for those couples who want their planning to be simple and easy.

Garden

Filled with wandering paths, delightful song birds, and a colorful arrangement of perennial flowers, the Garden is a beautiful space for your photo shoot and post-ceremony cocktail party. The Garden area also includes a patio, a bar for cocktail service, and a grassy open space and redwood deck that overlook the riparian zone of Green Oaks Creek.

Overlook Terrace

Our land forms a natural terrace with a fabulous view of both our organic farm and the ocean. This Overlook Terrace is a picturesque clearing with a spacious redwood deck and wooden benches for seating. It's bordered by towering trees and offers a beautiful space to hold your wedding ceremony. This area is accessible by foot or shuttle.

Reception Meadow

The Reception Meadow is a large, landscaped space with beautiful views of our farm, the mountains, and the ocean. It includes an outdoor kitchen, an elegant stone fire pit with matching stone patio and wooden benches, a redwood slab bar and cocktail tables, a dancefloor, and string lighting. It has ample space for tables & chairs, an outdoor lounge room, farm games, a photo booth, tents of any size and more.
