Our team is the heart of Mizu Hair Salon, and we are proud to have a group of dedicated professionals who are committed to ongoing education and growth. Our stylists bring a wealth of knowledge, skills, and creativity to the salon, ensuring that every client leaves feeling beautiful and confident.

*Carla Yamanka, Owner & Master Stylist*

Carla is a passionate stylist and in-salon educator with a strong belief in growth through education and experience. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business at SJSU, and countless classes and certifications from renowned institutions such as Aveda, Oway, Keratin Complex, Brazilian Blowout, Hot Heads Extensions, MAC, Goldwell, and others. Carla's dedication to Mizu Salon extends beyond the salon, as she also runs a successful non-profit dog rescue that has found homes for over 70 dogs since 2014.

*Amy, Senior Stylist*

Amy joined Mizu in November 2011 and has rapidly become one of our busiest Senior Stylists. Through hard work and determination, she has mastered a variety of classes with Aveda, Oway, Keratin Complex, Brazilian Blowout, and Hot Heads Extensions. When not at the salon, Amy enjoys shopping at Nordstrom, visiting the Half Moon Bay Farmer's Market, and spending time with her three beautiful sons, super cute baby girl, and our beloved canine mascot, Penny.

*Bere, Junior Stylist*

Bere joined Mizu prior to graduating from Half Moon Bay High and quickly became an invaluable asset to the salon. Bere's tenacity, work ethic, and dedication to ongoing education have allowed her to build a loyal clientele in a short time. She stays after-hours taking hands-on classes and attended her first Aveda Congress Show in 2023. Bere's passion for cooking and singing with the choir at church bring joy and warmth to our salon.
