Who We Are

Kids Only Early Learning Centers is a family-owned network of early learning centers that has been serving families in the Ashtabula county area since 1998. With locations in Ashtabula and Kingsville, we take pride in being a trusted provider of high-quality childcare and early childhood education. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized by the community, with Kids Only receiving the Star Beacon's Readers Choice award for Best Childcare Center in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023.

Our History

The first Kids Only Early Learning Center was opened in 1998 by Tamera and Paul McTrusty of Ashtabula, Ohio. Over the years, we have expanded our network of childcare centers to better serve the families of Ashtabula County. Today, both Kids Only centers have received 5 Star Step Up to Quality awards, the highest childcare quality rating available in the state of Ohio.

Step Up to Quality

The state of Ohio measures the effectiveness and quality of childcare centers with a 5-tier rating system. Each tier (or star) that a center receives denotes a higher level of quality that center has achieved. All Kids Only Early Learning Centers have received 5 Star Step Up to Quality ratings, which are calculated by evaluating childcare centers in various categories including educational strategies, cleanliness, staff member credentials, and overall dedication to continuous improvement and childcare best practices.

What We Do

Kids Only Early Learning Centers offer high-quality childcare for children between 6 weeks and 12 years of age. Our programs are designed to provide a safe, healthy, and enriching environment for your child to learn and grow. We offer a high-quality certified preschool program focused on social and emotional development and kindergarten readiness. Our experienced and qualified staff members are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each child in our care.
