ABC Child Care & Learning Center is a Non-profit Corporation dedicated to providing top-tier child care services for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. Our facility, located at 2012 West 11th Street, Ashtabula, OH 44004, offers a clean, stimulating, and safe environment for your children. We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of care and safety.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide high-quality child care to infants and children, with huge amounts of love and respect for each individual in our care. We strive to create a loving, nurturing learning environment that fosters a positive introduction to education, socialization, and play for all who enroll in our Center.

What We Do

At ABC Child Care & Learning Center, we are committed to providing high-quality, age-appropriate education. We are proud to announce that we have developed a written curriculum for our infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This program has been a resounding success at our Center and the children love it.

We understand the importance of proper nutrition in a child's development, and that's why we provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks for our toddlers, preschool, and school-age children. For our infants, we provide Similac and Isomil formula, as well as jarred fruits, vegetables, and cereal.

Who We Are

We are a non-profit child care center where children are our top priority, not profit. We have been in business for over 30 years and have continuously reviewed and improved our programs to meet the ever-changing needs of the children and parents in our care. We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services and are subject to unscheduled inspections.

In August 2009, ABC Child Care received a one-star rating through the DJFS Step Up to Quality child care licensing, and in April of 2015, we received our two-star rating. We are managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who oversee the Executive Administrator, Larina Spring, our Administrator, Jodi van't Veer, and our Assistant Administrator, Patty Warner. Our staff is composed of well-trained, caring teachers and classroom aides who are dedicated to providing the best care and education for your child.

Our food program is regulated and inspected by the USDA to ensure the highest standards of nutrition and safety.
