At The Union House, we're proud to be a part of the rich history of Genesee Depot, Wisconsin. Since 1861, our restaurant has been a gathering place for the community, offering a unique fine dining experience that blends wild game with classic cuisine. Our Story

Our story began with Patrick Lynch, a 35-year-old Irish immigrant who opened the doors of The Union House Hotel in 1861. The hotel quickly became a popular gathering spot for locals and visitors, and the addition of a kitchen in the late 1800s solidified its place as a meeting spot for families, friends, and travelers. Fast forward to 1989, when Patty and Curt Robinson purchased the building and business, turning it into a historic fine dining restaurant that would continually serve the community. For over 30 years, they brought people together with their incredible menu, wine, bourbon, and scotch list, earning The Union House a reputation as one of the top 30 restaurants in Southeastern Wisconsin.

In 2020, the Robinsons passed on their dining legacy to local entrepreneur and philanthropist Jim Lindenberg and his wife Heidi, who have both loved the restaurant for years. They're committed to carrying on The Union House tradition, bringing people together and creating unforgettable dining experiences.
