Design Process

Our design process begins with a FREE, one-hour consultation to understand your vision and goals. We then move on to designing conceptual alternatives, which includes drawing 3-dimensional visualizations to help you visualize your choices. Next, we find contractors and verify prices, negotiate with planning and building departments, detail construction documents, and assist during construction. Throughout the process, we believe in providing and discussing carefully-sketched options to ensure that every decision is well-informed.

Specializing in Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

We are particularly skilled in designing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), which can be converted garages, wings of your house, or entirely separate units within your property line. ADUs can be valuable as income-generating spaces on Airbnb, mother-in-law units, home offices, or guest cottages. We've completed several projects, including converting a single car garage into a studio apartment and home office, transforming a downstairs rec room into a 1-bedroom apartment, and designing an ADU over a garage.
